We offer a broad range of services to private clients, small businesses, corporations and institutional investors, and organise our activities around four interrelated business areas - Capital Markets, Corporate Finance, Private Clients and Research.
An exciting opportunity now exists to join the Compliance team within Davy as a Senior Compliance Executive.
Key elements of this position will include:
- Responsibility for keeping informed of regulatory requirements in Ireland and one or more other regulated jurisdictions and advising the business accordingly;
- Compliance monitoring of changing regulatory requirements;
- Responsibility for interfacing with regulators, and regulatory bodies;
- Responsibility for documents, manuals, policies and procedures related to regulatory requirements;
- Provision of guidance and advice to the business on a wide range of compliance and regulatory matters;
- Timely and efficient handling of ad hoc compliance related queries arising internally.
The ideal candidate will have:
- A minimum of 5 years senior compliance experience, preferably in Investment Management and /or Wealth Management, and /or Stockbroking;
- Exposure to legal and regulatory requirements in Ireland;
- Exposure to and knowledge of regulatory requirements in other jurisdictions outside of Ireland, in particular the UK;
- Expertise in Financial Services Authority (FSA) standards and requirements;
- Experience of liaising and interacting with the Irish Stock Exchange;
- An ability to work well under pressure and to adapt, on an ongoing basis, to the changing compliance and business environment;
- An ability to self motivate, prioritise tasks and work to own deadlines in some instances;
- Excellent oral and written communication skills, with demonstrable experience of interfacing with all levels of the organisation;
- The ability to work effectively as part of a team structure;
- A high level of initiative and enthusiasm;
- Excellent IT skills (MS Office).
